I have a 99 Ford Escort, only the driver headlight is out, I tried replacing the bulb, but, it still wont light up. Could a blown fuse cause only ONE light to go out?

I go out dancing, have 2 beers, then switch to water before I leave the club. The cops have random roadblocks sometimes. They always ask, "have you been drinking tonight?" This questions bothers me because an honest answer would be self incriminating and a lie would be false statements. I wonder what would happen if I just said "I plead the fifth"..lol I know I could pass their field tests or whatever, but, could they impound my car etc??

Is there such a thing as a gear shift motor for an automatic 1999 Ford Escort Sport? How much would one be? I cant find one online.

My 1999 Ford Escort Sport gets stuck in park. When I push the brakes, the lights DO come on. I have been bypassing the "thumb" button with the little hole in the floor next to the shifter but I would like to know if anybody has a ball park what it costs to fix, I have been laid off and I NEED my car to find a job, but, without a job, its hard to pay to fix it..lol Somebody told me it could be the solenoid in the shifter, any ideas how much for that?
