Hah! It's not mine, but I found a pic!?

http://cgi.ebay.com/3-OLD-BUZZ-BAIT-TOP'S-FOR-CRAN...

Look at the top one there, the one I've been trying to find (I know it's around here somewhere) is gold, and (I could be wrong, but I think) it's a smidge larger, but otherwise, that's the crazy thing I've been wanting to post in hopes of someone knowing what it is, and if it's the "lucky hook guaranteed to land your first 10 pound sea trout" mentioned in the note that was in my grandfather's tacklebox...

Also if anyone's trying to figure out what I want for christmas.... ; )

Update:

Ultra-cheesy, ain't it? I wanted to add it to my cheesy lures question, but it didn't work out that way...

Update 2:

I've got one here in the house somewhere, I just need to figure out where my mother put it to get it out of the reach of little hands... grr! Nice to have a name for it, though, it's amazing when people are able to supply that for ya...

Mine will turn up eventually, and maybe I'll put in a bid on that one, and maybe I'll come across a few more at the estate sales... it's another one of those items out of my grandfather's tacklebox that I wonder how well it works (if at all) but would hate to lose it on a snag...

I may be wrong, but I'm perty sure that's a FIRST generation "Top Prop" by Mister Twister.

    When I say "first generation" I mean late 70's - early 80's.

They don't make them like that anymore. Mister Twister has "revised" the original structure of the lure into an "Inline model" and it now looks like this- http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/P...

You may be able to find one hanging on a wall in an old Bait & Tackle shop. (Try the Tackle Box in Gainsville Fl. They may have one- http://local.yahoo.com/info-14055763-tackle-box-ga...

At least now you have a name to call the lure when you call around to find it! (lol)

(When you call, tell the Bait-shop owners you don't want the Inline model you want the Buzzbait model......)

    Hope this helps ya G.

    PS- Merry X-mas.

Yea that looks a bit old and crappy. The other 2 things are just clip on buzzbait arms to turn any lure into a buzzbait. It's only $2 so bid away I'm not gonna try and out bid you for it. looks like they have been taking up room in some body's tackle box and now they can find a new home in yours.

l've seen them things. looks pretty damn cheesy. l think bill dance or jimmy houston had something to do with those. like a fore-runner to the helicopter lure.

go for it. place your bid. probably get it pretty cheap. and you get those other two besides.

of course, if you don't know what to do with those two...

you can see they need hooks. prob'ly not gonna do you much good without hooks...

l can't imagine bidding going too high.
