Has he actually said anything to you, or is he just sulking? If he said something, then press for more details (without becoming invasive) and just talk it out with him. Generally, in that kind of situation, he probably just wants someone to talk to. If he's just sulking, be there for him and let him know you care.

give him a good news.for him good news would be like he got a promotion or u got first in somewhere.
don't leave him alone,make him feel loved,admired and give him attention i.e., caring.and give him some honest compliments.he will love all this and later admire you.
