why do my cousins get all the attention?
I have asked this question but didn't get a lot of feedback
me and my cousin have grown up together since we were born but recently everyone pays a lot more attention to them then me. They are sisters. and they are half Mexican which means their skin is darker then mine. we are only a few months apart my eldest cousin is 1 year older then me and my youngest cousin is only 3 months younger then me and every one pays attention to me it's always"oh those girls are so beautiful" or "Janice has beautiful girls" and I'm right next to them it's just not fair I always get so upset because of this sometimes I would like to scream "HEY! Im right here" but no one would ever listen my mom tells me it's because they always look for attention by flaunting themselves around. which is true
and one day when I was at their house they were playing soccer and I was doing cartwheels and stuff and a car honked at them and later they were like "the car honked at us but not you" and started laughing I was so mad I almost said "Yea it's such an honor to be a slut like you guys" but I didn't because their mom might here me. which theyre not sluts but sometimes they act like it and it makes me mad
I have gotten to the point where when I get a Bf I ain't bring him any where near them because of the fear of him liking them better.
Im just so angry all the time and they are coming for Christmas and Goodness knows whats going to happen then.....
any thoughts on how to handle the situation

what is happening to you is unfair,but don't worry.people give them more attention,because your cousins seem to do anything to get it,not necessarily because they are more beautiful than you.i'm pretty sure they aren't better than you at all,but they know how to get all the attention.also,i think they realized you are very hurt when others shower them with compliments and you are ignored,so they tease you about it.when such things happen you should ignore everything and don't show how hurt you feel in any way.we'll soon get into a new year.a new year is a new start,so why not change a few things about this situation?you should always take care of your looks,try to dress nice to impress,maybe putting on a little make up from time to time.this will make you feel better about yourself and will boost your confidence.but don't go overboard,you want to look beautiful,not like a slut.you should try to be outgoing,talk to people,smile,always be happy.this will attract positive attention,as people like to be around others who are happy and enjoy life.if you have a talent(like writing,painting...) you should do your best to use it.or simply join a club.your family members will appreciate your talent and will be more proud of you.this are some of the ideas i have.i just hope this nightmare of yours will end soon and you are going to be happy.but for now enjoy the wonderful holidays.good luck :-)
