Great band, and I don't see them mentioned here very often. I really enjoyed everything up to 'Foreigner 4'.

Some of my favorite songs are:

    Dirty White Boy

    Blue Morning, Blue Day

    Break It Up

    Blinded By Science

    Spellbinder

    Woman in Black

    Headknocker

    Hot Blooded

    Tramontane

    Head Games

    Night Life

    Feels Like the First Time

    Double Vision

    Starrider

    Urgent

    Rev on the Red Line

    I Need You

    Cold as Ice

    The Damage Is Done

All of these songs bring back so many memories for me. There was a bar I used to hang at back around 1980, and the jukebox was full of Foreigner songs. Guaranteed...that's what you'd hear all night sometimes!

I really enjoyed the playing of their guitarist Mick Jones. He can also be heard with the band 'Spooky Tooth', and appeared on that bands 'The Mirror' album prior to the formation of Foreigner. Foreigner's co-producer/sax/ player/keyboardist Ian McDonald was an original member of King Crimson, and can be heard playing the sax/flute on their classic album 'In The Court of the Crimson King'. That's Ian wailing away on '21st Century Schizoid Man'. Ian was a founding member of Foreigner, and co-produced much of their material.

If you like Foreigner, you may also enjoy the band 'Black Sheep', featuring Lou Grammatico (Lou Gramm) on vocals. They had a sound almost reminiscent of Free, or Bad Company. Black Sheep recorded two albums...their first self titled album was the best, released in 1975. You can really hear the vocal influence that Paul Rogers had on the young Lou Gramm:

They have a lot of great songs but the majority of my preferences are those which radio didn't wear into the ground:

    Seventeen

    Rev On The Red Line

    Reaction To Action

    Long, Long Way From Home

    I'll Get Even With You

Waiting For A Girl Like You

I know they have some heavier, rockin songs. But this one is so smooth and real. Love it. I don't care if the radio wore it out. I don't really listen to enough radio for it to have that effect on me.
