I need support from the Y!A community, please. Two jobs, pregnant, and no medicaid.?

I have two jobs, one baby sitting and the other retail. Medicaid canceled my insurance because I didn't hand in something they needed and I didn't get a notice in the mail (Haven't been getting my mail lately either). It is unbearable to wait in line and speak with somebody at our medicaid office because there are so many people and such a long wait, people have to wait outside in the cold weather. Last time I was there it was below 40 and I was outside waiting for over an hour. Once we got to wait in the line inside the building I had to leave because I needed to go to work. I've tried calling and waiting over the phone just to speak with somebody and all I got was an answering machine. Of course I left all my information.

I am 26 weeks pregnant and haven't seen the doctor since late October. Medicaid was canceled Oct 30th and I didn't find out until Nov. 20th. I don't know what to do about the medicaid wait. I scheduled next week to be off one job and have a particular day off on the other job so I can have time to work with this medicaid. I guess I'm just looking for some kind of support from somebody. I don't talk about the bad stuff to my husband right now because he's stressed about the bills that I'm trying not to even think about. My mother is having problems with my older sister and I don't want her to stress either. Those two are pretty much the only ones I go to for support. I've never been this stressed.

Update:

Another thing I might get alot from you guys is this is just life. I understand this... My mother never lets me forget lol. I can't wait until my baby comes and I get to hold him. If anybody is curious I'm 20yrs old too. When I answer questions I like to know the ages of my askers.

im currently on medicaid, having been fired from from my job at 6 1/2 months pregnant. it was hard having to wait in those lines. i havent personally experienced losing my medicaid... but i havent really gotten any mail from them either and now im def going to keepa look out and make sure i keep up on my paperwork.

im sorry you're going through this, i know hard and stressful things are amplified in pregnancy because we have so much else to worry about. Keep your head up. have you felt the baby moving? isn't it an amazing feeling?

a month is a long time not to see you baby. i remember i had to wait 2 months before i could see mine and it was horrible! try and stay as calm as possible, the medicaid office will help u as best they can when you get there. you should prbably go first thing when the open try and be there 15 minutes before they open and start the line. first come, first serve.

i hope everything works out for you. Congrats on your baby and Goodluck with everything. Stay strong, at the end of all of this you are going to havea beautiful baby and all other worries will seem to disappear - at least for a little while :D

So sorry you are going through this it sucks. I got a letter stating mine was over at the end of December. I had to call in and open a new claim. My situation was different though, I had a miscarriage and then got pregnant again, I wasn't aware i had to tell them it was a new pregnancy since I had to send in a confirmation of pregnancy for the Dr. to be able to see me. I just had to call them. Like someone else said, just take the day and get there as early as you can and hopefully your wait won't be so long.

You need to resolve this quickly. Take a day off, put on a warm coat and go stand in that line until you talk to someone and get this resolved. You'll be much better off than leaving a message on voicemail.

I am pretty sure that state funded aid will be automatic if you are pregnant - I live in RI and if you are pregnant, they will automatically cover you - day one. I would try to look online - go to your state page and see if there's anything there - good luck! ♥
