I think you have a reason to be upset. It's hard when you spend all this time preparing for a name and then someone else comes along and takes it. There was a name that i've always loved for a little girl since i was really little and me and my spouse had decided it was a great name to use, however, his sister... aka my sister inlaw had her baby girl first and thought that the name we were thinking about was even better than anything they had thought up on their own so she named her daughter with the name we wanted to name ours. == It would probably be worst to have a chicken named after your daughter.. or in this case now, to have your daughter named after the chicken. I'm really sorry this situation is even happening at all. If you really think that name is the one you are really suck on then i would suggest bringing it up to your sister at least one more time. you don't need to make an issue out of it, but you could just remind her of why it would mean more to you if she could chose a different name.. Even if this doesn't work and she takes the name anyways, at least while your baby is growing up you won't wish her name was something else, or resent your sister for not allowing you to have the name you had previously chosen. If she doesn't understand or really know how much this names means to you then maybe she isn't really thinking much of it. You should say something! You don't want to have the urge to kill this chicken the whole time its a live! lol Good luck!

I've always thought that the cutest names for chickens are odd, old fashioned ones, like Gertrude, Mabel, Hortense, ect. I found most of these by Google searching for "Old Fashioned Names" or "Names to never name your kids". It's also cute to give them nature related names, like Clover, Lily, and Strawberry.
