Why does god care if we dont believe in him?
Based on these biblical teachings:
God has been around for eternity
The lifetime of a man is but the blink of an eye to god
When we die we all have to go and see god
we will be dead forever for eternity
I have to wonder why god would even care if we believe in him or not, while we are on earth.
when we die and go to see god then we will know with absolute certainty that he exists, then we will have eternity to believe in him sing his praises etc etc. which is what he wants.
I guess the question i`m trying to ask is:
god is willing to cut off his nose to spite his face, if he can`t have our belief in him for the minuscule amount of time that we are here on earth, the mere blinking of eye in his own words, then he doesn't want it at all,for eternity after we have died and know beyond a doubt that he exists?
an analogy would be:
I ask you to pour me a cup of tea, just as you begin to pour i blink my eyes and you stop pouring for that fraction of a second then continue pouring until the cup is full.
when you have finished pouring, i tell you that i don't want it because you stopped pouring for a fraction of a second and now the tea isn`t good enough to drink, even though all I really care about is drinking the tea and not how it was poured.

I never understood that; I would care less if some primate species out of the ape family worshiped me as God; in fact it would be irresponsible as their creator; if the whole point is free will, why would I make my presence known, that's pretty dumb if you ask me...

God has come down to the earth in the human form Jesus, walked, taught, and served the needs of others around Him in love. Later, was betrayed, tortured, and hung to die by the most gruesome means of death that the Romans could employ. Why? Because God has love for ALL humans and He died exclusively FOR them. God does care about us because He died for us, to show that concern. This current life is only transitory [temporary] - that is why we are created physical - matter - so that we can decay. God is not "calling" nor drawing ALL people to Him now, in this current life (see: John chapter 6, verse 44). God is only starting the "solution phase" of His Plan with those He [God] calls the "Elect". The short of it is this. God needs to start somewhere with someone and Christians are leading the parade. Can anyone come to God - YES ! But does everyone come to God - NO ! There are Billions of people who never, even, heard of God nor Jesus - notwithstanding, even, want to enter a spiritual relationship with Him. Does that mean those who do not seek God in this current life have had it - NO !!! They will be given their chance LATER and this will include all those who died BEFORE Jesus walked the earth. Remember; God is in the saving business - not the "get 'em" business (as some people would have you believe). Yes ... you really count very dearly to God, and this temporary life is only a "classroom" to acquire the experience to come to see the need for God . That need will be satisfied in the life to come, at the return of Christ to this earth, once again. STAY TUNED !!!

Teachings of the church. I'll give you a thought. What is called soul is eternal as what is called God. We are like a cell in the body of God. We are the sum that creates the whole of what is considered God. You may not know what the cell in your nose is doing but at the quantum level God does. Just though as you care about what happens to your body, so does God.
Like thou shalt not kill, sort of like killing part of yourself.
Thou shalt not worship any God before me. Worship yourself because you are part of God.
What we call death is just the beginning of a new life for the soul. When one path is finished a new one begins. With each death soul evolves closer to God. You are singing praises to yourself if you see it this way.
The biblical teachings of God may portray God as negative but this isn't the true nature of God.

>>>the lifetime of a man is but the blink of an eye to god.
probably much much less than a blink of a eye for him.
and no one can answer why he cares. he might not care, if he even exists. ask him if you see him.

He/She doesn't, mainly because this is a pure figment of your over active imagination. Look God is a symbolic thing not a real living, breathing creature created for weak minded people to blindly follow and use as an excuse for all the bad things that happen to them and use as a crutch.

Because this life is just a TEST to see if we believe and obey him. If we spend this short time obeying him we will have eternal bliss.
Quran Chapter 35. verse 36
And for those who disbelieve will be the fire of Hell. [Death] is not decreed for them so they may die, nor will its torment be lightened for them. Thus do we recompense every ungrateful one.

And they will cry out therein, "Our Lord, remove us; we will do righteousness – other than what we were doing!" But did We not grant you life enough for whoever would remember therein to remember, and the warner had come to you? So taste [the punishment], for there is not for the wrongdoers any helper.
Then you re probably going to say " Why does God punish people for eternity if they just disbelieved for a minuscule amount of time?"
Thats because if they lived in this life forever they would have never believed.

God created the universe because He is the Creator. He created humanity to have the capacities of understanding, love and free will so that we could have a relationship with Him. Whether we do that during this lifetime or not has no impact on Him whatsoever - He is all-Knowing and All-Loving. But it does have an impact on us. Rise up to your destiny.

Because out of trillions of planets and billions of galaxies God likes to focus on something that is equivalent to the intelligence and size of an ant in Africa.

He doesn't. If he made us this way then he knew exactly how each of us would respond to everything that would ever happen to us. And if we don't believe in him it's because HE made us that way. It's so plain and obvious that it speaks volumes when people can't realize this simple truth.

You're missing the point. The deity doesn't matter at all, but rather the people who wish you to worship the construct. They have a highly vested interest in your continual obeisance.
