How many doctors are there in each party?

This is a serious question. I know of Frist (R) and Griffith (former D, now R...telling in my opinioin, but that's for another question...). Anyone else?

Update:

Yes...current elected doctors in Congress. Sorry, Dean doesn't count...though he is a doctor.

In congress there are currently more doctors who were elected as Republican's than Democrats - 11 are Republicans and 5 are Democrats. Two serve in the Senate and 14 in the House. Another well-known doctor who is not in congress, but is involved with politics is Howard Dean, a Democrat.

The question about how many doctors are in each party or lean toward each party is hard to say since many doctors became doctors because they want to help treat people who need medical care, not become politicians.

Republicans gained an extra one today.

What does that only leave Howard Dean on the left?

    Do you mean elected?

Because if you mean actual members, I'm guessing its about equally split like most other professions other than banker (R) and union workers (D).
