Bells Palsy is different for everyone, so there's not a precise answer about when it will go away. I had it 3 years ago and it lasted for about 2 months until the numbness and facial palsy completely went away. Good luck!

Bell's palsy is a special kind of facial paralysis: the kind that no better explanation can be found for. It is not usual for any swelling to be present, even temporarily. That means your diagnosis may be incorrect. With a different diagnosis your treatment options and prognosis will be entirely different.

This is a serious matter. You know how awful it'd be if your face were not to recover! Consult a neurologist or ENT doctor for a second opinion. Please.
