Does anyone know medical information on Pugs? Mine has been maybe stroking or having seizures?
This has happened twice now, where he all of a sudden has trouble walking so just stands with his back legs spread apart & his eyes darting from left to right. It goes on for maybe 10-15 min. He is an older pug, he's 12 & although we love him very much, we just can't afford to take him to the vet right now. I'm really hoping someone can tell me what this is. Thanks.

You need to find the money or call up the local humane society or ASPCA for lower cost vet care. The bottom line is - we are not vets. You need a vet. There is also something called CareCredit. It's like a credit card just for vet bills. Get to the vet.

Pugs do generally enjoy robust good health. That said they will generally require more visits to the vet than many other breeds. As an owner you can contribute to your Pugs health most by not feeding it into an early grave, and by administering all locally veterinary advised vaccinations and parasite preventatives (i.e. flea, tick, internal worms).
Excessive heat kills Pugs. You MUST NEVER let your Pug exercise to exhaustion on hot days. Never leave it in a parked car that's in the sun and don't expect your Pug to swim laps of an Olympic pool. While Pugs can swim with close supervision an unsupervised Pug will usually sink, not swim.

you will get off yahoo solutions and take your canine to a vet. My canine had very comparable warning signs. She could slightly walk, she stumbled, and her eyes twitched. It seems she had a stroke. The scientific professional gave her a intense dosage of a few efficient steroids, and fortuitously she is lots greater advantageous. Take him to the vet ASAP
