Can the HP's offer of Win Vista to Win 7 be used on a different Win XP?
Just curious. We bought our PC packed with Win Vista and were eligible for the upgrade. Today we got the upgrade disk, which comes with a CD key different from that of the Vista computer. I was just curious, could this upgrade disk be used on a different PC, which runs on Windows XP? If so, will that conflict with the Vista version at all?

You can run that upgrade on any computer using Vista or XP.
