I disagree. It's vital to establish whether Jesus can do anything for you before you commit your life to him.

'Cause if he can't, he's not a god.

I agree, Just as long as you understand that by doing it for Jesus, we are intern doing what Jehovah ask. Because as much as one may love Jesus, he isn't God. It is God that we worship through Jesus. Not Jesus.

Disagree. If one is a god, then one should be able to provide everything and anything for his creations. I do not have the power of god, therefore I should not be expected to act as such.

But since "god" is not so generous with his power, there is no need for me to worry about any such creature existing.

Jesus told us to ASK. In fact He told us that we have not, because we ASK not.

So I disagree with your opinion most whole heartedly and I am so thankful I know what the Word of God says or I might be led down the garden path and believe you know something when you do not.

    God Bless

    Agree.

We don't deserve anything really from Jesus. God made us and we should worship Him and only Him. God doesn't serve us; we serve God.

EDIT: Besides, what kind of God lets His creation tell Him what to do?

I know about the inaugural address.

Let's frame basil's post into something that basil believes:

If allah is god, like the false muslims claim. Then allah wouldn't need anything from us, we would need allah to help us. That's only if it was god, but it isn't as allah need messengers/prophets? why does allah need man to do it's work? why does allah need the help of muslim men to execute apostates?

Disagree. If Jesus was God, like the false Christians claim. Then Jesus wouldn't need anything from us, we would need him to help us. That's only if he was God, but he isn't.
