Can i get a cold this way?!?!?!?!? What are your thoughts/opinions?!??!?!?

i love wearing flats. they are my favorite type of shoes. i love wearing them all the time, but my mom hates when i wear them in the winter. she seems to think that i am going to catch a cold or pneumonia because my feet are "overly exposed". but only a small portion of my feet are showing and they arent cold. she wants me to wear socks when i wear flats and i think that wearing socks and flats is tacky. i feel its the equivalent to wearing flip flops and socks.

i have never personally heard of anyone catching a cold because they have worn flats. what are your ideas on the situation??

sidenote: if you are wondering about the weather where i live, the lowest its been all winter has been 44degrees. just yesterday it was 55degrees. (thats not cold in my opinion)

If you had any sicknesses or allergies, then you probably catch a cold pretty easy. Other than that, I really don't see whats wrong wearing flats. You live in a decently warm enough area to wear flats, but if it gets pretty windy or it rains I'd suggest wearing something thad cover your feet more.
