If the health care bill is so good.....?

If the proposed health care bill is so good and the answer to all our health care problems, then why does Sen. Reid have to bribe other senators within his own party just to get the minimum vote for passage?

Update:

Response to Luis: Yes, I agree that there are lots of problems with what we have. But the govt is ramming a bill through by any means necessary instead of moving slowly and implementing changes over time.

The health care bill is not so good. You are right. I have a friend who is from Belgium. She tells me she can just go to the doctor when she is sick without worrying about whether it will be paid or not. She pays the doctor a low payment and then fills out some paperwork and deposits it to the govt. Then, she gets a check. The visit ends up being free in the long run.

Would socialized health care work in the US? No. People are too independent to have a system like the one in Belgium. There are very good and very bad things about socialized health care. The bad things include making sick people wait for healthcare and the quality of healthcare.

My suggestion is to make all health care not-for-profit. The biggest thorn in the side of health care is the health insurance companies. These companies are thieves of money and of lives...period. This industry, in my opinion, is Satan in a suit. Removing health care from all health insurance companies and requiring that people pay their premiums into the not-for-profit organization would probably be the best bet. Or, a few not-for-profit organizations that people can buy into. You purchase the not-for-profit plan that your doctor has adopted. It is not perfect but a good starting point.

You see...the reason why the public option did not have a chance is because of the health insurance industry...not the doctors. Just remember that! The people to lose with this bill are the doctors and the patients. The people to win are the health insurance companies...remember that!

King Reid and Queen Pelosi have packed the bill with well over a 1000 earmarks for things not even remotely related to health care. All the diehard Dems who wanted this will soon see the error of their ways.

the thing is that the health care bill is crap its gonna lower the pay of doctors lower the quality of care and its unconstitutional plus why would we wanna be like europe..theres ten times the poverty in europe and france just went bankrupt.and socialized medicine doesnt work out it leads to nations going bankrupt just look at the facts poland is fighting for private insurance aka the same insurance we have so germany and even cuba want private insurance cause why..come on you no why people ITS MAKING THEM GO BANKRUPT! and the only reason why canada hasnt gone bankrupt is because theres a total of 33 MILLION PEOPLE THAT LIVE IN CANADA ...and STILL TES OF THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE COME TO THE US. FOR HEALTHCARE SERVICES in hospitals they even have special places for the Canadians to go ..plus if you want to keep your private insurance you have to pay five thousand dollars or more to keep it and if you dont you can spend up to five years in federal prison
