will a subwoofer still work if it gets wet?
The subwoofers were in the box. so the spider part and connections and stuff didnt get wet. the box isn't MDF so it did not swell. its like a coated meteral that is smooth.. the only part of the woofer that got wet is where the dust cap is, and probally the surrond... would the subwoofers still work if the front of them got wet??

You should be ok. Where you would run into problems at is if the whole thing got wet then you would stand a good chance of freezing the sub or blowing it to pieces.

Most likely the subwoofer will continue to function. However, depending on the construction of the unit, you might need to give as many as a few days for the subs to completely dry out before testing them. The main problem is with the paper cones of the actual speaker which are likely to become weakened from water. If no water got on the paper cones, then you will be fine, but allow ample drying time. If you use the woofer while the paper is wet, then you stand a risk of damaging the speaker by distorting the shape or in the worst case tearing the paper. It's possible the the water itself will have distorted the speaker, but with a subwoofer, it's possible that you won't notice any difference in quality of sound.
