18 month old with seizures?

My 18 month old daughter fell a few weeks ago and hit her head and had a seizure. Then yesterday she bumped her head, not very hard, and had another one. We did the whole ER MD thing but I am away from my normal MD's. She would normally be treated by the children's hospital in Philadelphia, which is the best kids hospital in the country but unfortunately she was treated in detroit and they were less than steller.

Can anyone tell me if this is just her holding her breath or if its onset of epilepsy instead?

Update:

She has a neuro consult on the 5th of Jan, it was the earliest I could get. They will do test till then, I am just worried and wondered what else could be happening. The MD who suggested she was holding her breath was an idiot.

Please take your daughter to a family doctor who should consider referring her to a neurologist. There is no way for anyone on line to tell you if she is just holding her breath or having a seizure. I was treated at the University of Pennsylvania for seizures, which is next to Children's Hospital in Philadelphia. They are wonderful but you really shouldn't wait until you are back east to have your daughter tested.

Your cat had an epileptic seizure and could proceed to have seizures till you're taking him to the vet for Md's to regulate the seizures. there is not any longer something you're able to do to keep away from kitty from having a seizure. If kitty does have yet another seizure be careful while he's seizing, because of the fact they do no longer know what they're doing nor the place they're. they'd start up throwing those legs around with there sharp claws. you could shop him as mushy as achieveable and make constructive he would not come across fixtures and such till seizures is over. while they arrive out of a seizure they are going to be heat and exhausted. Seizures dissipate there potential ranges and animals would desire to sleep for awhile. no count the way you examine out this, you are going to would desire to get your kitty to the vet for Md's so kitty can stay a happy popular existence. in case you do no longer kitty at last will die from this. some animals have small seizures on an identical time as different would have extra dramatic seizures. additionally some animals have extra seizures than others. in basic terms tell the vet which you're cat had what you think of grew to become right into a seizure and vet will placed kitty on Md's. it extremely is maximum possibly that your cat is epileptic.

A person cannot make themselves pass out by holding their breath - breathing is autonomic, so there has to be some other cause. it seems like the most important thing at this point is to get her a helmet and make sure she wears it whenever she is active.

She would just lose consciousness if she was holding her breath and start breathing normal again then wake up. A seizure is something more than holding her breath.
