  • if I file a complaint for harassment against someone,?

Will the police notify them in PA? Or does it just get filed away?

  • if you are so concerned about people, liberal or conservative, starting wars for oil?

then why don't people take responsibility to reduce oil dependence?

Stop using plastic containers and baggies that are all made out of petroleum. Stop buying cheap plastic toys and walk or ride your bike. Turn your heat down. There are a million things that can be done and none of them have anything to do with liberal or conservative anything.

Why are we still talking about our non functioning government and not taking responsibility for ourselves?

  • how do I get my 2 year old to sleep?

she hasn't fallen asleep before 945 for the last 2 weeks even though I put her in bed at 8 pm. I keep putting her back to bed, I have rocked her, ignored her etc. I am stumped. I think she is still too little to cut out her nap but I have no idea how to get her to sleep at night

  • 2 year old won't sleep in her bed?

My little girl and I co slept when she was small and now I am having severe trouble getting her to sleep in her own bed. She wants to sleep in my bed or fall asleep in the stroller. I have tried to keep a bedtime routine but we live in an apartment and when I just keep putting her back into her bed she SCREAMS......It sounds quite a lot like I am beating her with a stick or something. I am at my wits end with this stuff and really need to figure out how to keep her in her bed. Even the days when she is put in her bed after she sleeps she generally wakes up around 11:30 and crawls into bed with me.

Any advice on how to get my child to sleep through the night in her own bed would be appreciated

  • why does my daughter hit herself?

my 21 month year old daughter hits/pinches herself. The pinching for no reason at all and usually she hits herself after I tell her not to hit me.

Her development is otherwise totally normal, advanced in some areas and right on track on others.

I never spank her or for gods sake pinch her so I am not sure where she learned this. I asked this question about 5 months ago and people said to just ignore it and she would stop but it has been 5 months and it has not stopped. I have a call into her MD but I just wondered if anyone else may have an idea?

  • Would you ask for child support?

to make a very long story short

a little over 2 and a half years ago I got pregnant and the father told me to abort or he was leaving me. I didn't abort and he did leave

fast forward to now, I filed for full legal custody of my daughter so I could get her a passport- they changed the law to require both parents to agree- and the state told me that they located the father that I had assumed left the country- he is from India.

My laywer saked me if I want to ask for child support while I am filing for custody and I don't know the answer to that question. We are doing ok, our apartment is kinda crappy but its in a really nice neighborhood in one the best school district in the city. I don't have money for luxuries but we eat organic and my girl doesn't need anything that I haven't been able to provide.

    The question is:

is it worth going through the hassle of court for support and then possibly having to deal with this total loser forever or should I just blow it off and hope that I get a career takeoff and can eventually improve my housing and what not. Thanks

  • Electrical problem in my apartment?

This morning while showering I got shocked. I called the landlord and they sent someone out who told me that the pipes are leaking in the apartment above mine. He said he turned the electricity off in the upstairs apartment and just not to use the lights/shower in the tub till they can tear out the wall upstairs and fix the pipes.

Does this seem feasible? Or is my landlord jerking my chain and really the wiring in my apartment needs to be redone?

  • what is normal for dating?

    Hi,

for various reasons I have not dated in a couple of years and so I am confused about current etiquette. I am wondering if it is normal for a guy to make comments after one 1 or 2 dates showing that he is sexually attracted to you.

I don't know him well, we really just started dating and to be fair he certainly isn't making explicit comments, stuff more along the lines of showing him the correct way to make a bubble bath.

Is this just normal for guys to do this? Something in the nature of testing the waters to see if I am willing to just jump into bed with him? Or does it show a clear lack of respect for me a person and I should move on?

Thanks for your help and really anyone can answer, I am just confused as to whether this is appropriate

  • would you take your child outside today?

My 18 month old daughter normally goes to the park every morning that it is not raining or really cold. But last night she was coughing a lot. It sounded like one of those congested in the nose coughs not all chesty at all. But I am not sure if I should take her to the park today.

What is the correct procedure for this sort of an eventuality? She seems fine today, still has a slight cough, no fever and not crabby.

  • Am I the only one worried about people that are clearly a little off?

Am I the only person who is worried about the radicals in this country? I consider myself a person who votes for the best candidate depending on my point of view, not any particular ideology. Am I the only one worried about the rabid right and left? Is their a single middle of the road person left in this country?

Personally- I am scared a lot by reading this board, am I the only one freaked out by this stuff?

  • 18 month old having seizures when hitting her head?

My 18 month old daughter fell a few weeks ago and hit her head and had a seizure. Then yesterday she bumped her head, not very hard, and had another one. We did the whole ER MD thing but I am away from my normal MD's. She would normally be treated by the children's hospital in Philadelphia, which is the best kids hospital in the country but unfortunately she was treated in detroit and they were less than steller.

Can anyone tell me if this is just her holding her breath or if its onset of epilepsy instead?

  • If you are bisexual but want to spend your life with a man?

assuming of course that the person in question is female, is it acceptable to still date/sleep with women or would that be considered cruel?

I have been arguing with a friend about this, I think its kind of mean.
