Why is Detroit's unemployment rate 50%?

50% is a little low, I think the Liars at the Huffington were a bit generous. I'm not surprised Detroit is in the Toilet. Three human forces came together in the perfect storm to ruin the city and Detroit would best be used as a nuclear testing site for neutron bombs. Unions essentially ruined the city for the most part but the leadership of ethnic "African-Americans" and their third world thinking really sank the city. finallyl, the majority of Michiganders are Democrats and so, parasites, no host can survive long when it's population of parasites increase to the point where it can no longer sustain itself.

Michael Moore is a Michigander from Flint. Detroit is a cess pool but Flint is a real dung heap.

Nothing good ever comes out of Michigan. We should give the whole state to Canada.

Same reason why a third of New Orleans' population was on the federal dime before Katrina's "cleansing waves" flushed it clean. Now it's worse than ever.

The people of Detroit have been "circling the drain for a long time"! We should offer to let Canada have that city, if they will invade it and "sanitize" it!

The writing has been on the wall for a number of yrs. American cars discourage the ability for the owner to work on them ... special tools ... glue instead of bolts etc.

All that is needed is to reverse engineer the way some foreign cars are built but alas, I highly suspect the American arrogance has disallowed this simple solution.

America used to make the best cars ... too bad it can't come to grips w/ the fact this is no longer the case.

I used to live w/ an auto body repair man ... he refuses to work on American cars for the above reasons.

You can thank the unions. They priced themselves out of the market. The automakers shut down many of their plants in Michigan, and now build cars in Mexico. Look at Flint, MI. It was once a thriving city. It is now a ghost town.

the blue states will recuperate in basic terms while they locate yet another nitch in manufacturing of yet another commercial large... vehicle making is lifeless b/c the u.s. vehicle is lifeless until eventually the US starts off designing automobiles that guzzle gasoline b/c our gov't has their palms interior the oil packing containers...
