I had vista and ugraded to windows 7 and there is a massive difference, mainly the task bar design. Overall windows 7 starts up A LOT QUICKER compared to vista, and both operating systems run relatively the same. I would go for windows 7 home premium NOT ultimate, but again its personal preference

Windows 7 is better version of vista

most of the programs which run on Windows XP didn't work on vista,

    so they launched Windows 7

    Go for Windows 7

Windows 7, I have a computer that has the software on it, and it is faster than my mom's Windows Vista. So, you tell me,

I use Windows 7 Professional and it's probably been my favorite iteration of Windows, particularly because I use most of the features like Snap and Shake. I haven't had any issues with it and it's pretty easy to use, by and large. -- Ryan Windows Outreach Team

Windows 7 Home Premium is the best and safest operating system ever developed. It isn't even a contest!

Windows 7 because i used vista and it kept getting bugged! UH! it's annoying! and then you have to do so many security stuff and for the Office Word, you could only use it for so long until you have to write in a security thing!

There are still bugs in both operating systems. I would go for Windows 7 as it is newer and being ahead of the curve is always nice.
