Does an XBOX 360 play burned DVDs ?
I burn alot of avi files and iso files to DVD , and they play on my DVD player .
However no successful play on my brothers XBOX 360 , it plays originals without any problems.
Guys, i am using convertXtoDvd 3 software to move Avis to DVD , and burning ISOs with Roxio , but the Burnt DVD will not play .

If you are just burning the raw .avi file to a disc, the xbox will not be able to play it as it doesnt understand .avi files.
Instead you will have to convert these to the native dvd format called VOB

they should work on the 360 if you have Xbox live. the reason is you need some Codec download from live to play them, but it is not a one time download. it kind of tricks your xbox into thinking you don't have the code if you don't have live.
if the dvds don't work you can move movies onto a (usb powered) flash drive. i do this all the time, but again, you need Xbox Live.
