91 honda prelude problems with firing?

have a 2.0si honda prelude 5 speed......well....it was acting up and i found out oil was getting in the distr. cap and maken it short out....well....i replace the O ring for the shaft and now since i cleaned it with eletric parts cleaner and put it back on it wont pop crack or nothen just cranks,......i marked all of the gears so i could time it again and it wouldnt start , i was told to try to turn it 180 degrees just incase i messed up some where still nothen......it has plenty of blue spark but will not burn the gas i took all the plugs ut and they were wet and u can smel the gas....i just bout the plugs yesterday and the wires the day before.....what did i do wrong? i dried everything....it ran fine untill i messed with the distributor so i know thats got to be the issue but it ran b 4 i took it out...PLEASE HELP ME MY WIFE IS PREGGO AND ITS THE ONLY CAR WE HAVE THANKS!

    It sounds like the ignition timing is off. You will have to mark the TDC on the flywheel or pulley and compare it to the distributor (when the #1 cylinder is on the compression stroke and reaches TDC, the rotor inside the distributor should point to the #1 plug wire). Another way to check the timing is to hook up a timing light and watch where it sparks on the timing marks. You will have to have someone turn it over while you watch the light. It will be more advanced while cranking then while running, but it should still be on the number scale (for instance 8 BTC or 27 BTC). If its way off (half way around), then you will have to re-time it. Check the "Autozone" website. It has free access to popular shop manuals. You need to check it for setting the timing of your car.     Did you put the plug wires in the correct places on the cap. Does the ditributor really have gears or does it have slots, should have slots so you can only put it back in one way. The timing should be close enough. Try holding the gas pedal quarter to half throttle no more than that while cranking to try to clear it out. That has worked for me in the past.
