My 5-year-old has the worst negative attitude! How do I help her fix it?
My daughter went to a birthday party where she had a ton of fun. She painted her nails, decorated a crown, had cake, and brought home an enormous gift bag of treats and goodies. Then all she did was cry and scream the whole way home because she didn't get a balloon. That is so typical of her - she is always focusing on the one thing that didn't go her way and ruining the whole day. I never want to take her to another party again! What can I do before her negative attitude drives me insane?

i normally bribe kids say ill give you this if you behave if that doe snot work. say your never going to a party again. im only 18, but i have had my time baby sitting kids.

This is normal, the most you can do is be her mother and lay down the law. In a calm way explain to her that its not right to act that way and that you wont stand for it. If she does it again Tell her she wont be going to another party again until she learns to act like a lady and not throw fits cause she didn't get something. But sweetie this is up to you on how your gonna handle this problem, your her mother and as a mother you need to be her role model. Do NOT give the child everything she wants, she has to learn that she cannot have everything in life early and that bribe trick works too.
Treat her nice but always demonstrate who is boss and that you won't tolerate her shyt, if none of that works...then give her the 5 finger wake up call.
