At what age did your child start sleeping in their own room and crib?
I can't remeber how old my daughter (she is 6) was when we started having her sleep in her crib. We have a bassinette and she slept there for a while. Anyway my son is 9 days old...I'm not going to put him in there yet...but just wondering when your kids starting sleeping in their own crib, in their room? Thanks!

my daughter is 5 months old- she still wakes every 3 hours to nurse- we start out in her crib then usually ends up in our room i have a pack n play set up next to the bed or once daddy leaves for work she ends up next to me-
She is a very content baby and will sleep anywhere- she has even fallen asleep while playing on her blanket on the floor

My daughter has always slept in her own room and crib. (Except for the first week or so, we had the crib in our room. )Shes 6 1/2 months old. She will sometimes go right to sleep, but if not me or my husband will rock her until she does.

My son was sleeping in his own room from day one, he's now 7 years old and never wanted to sleep anywhere else.

I plan to do what my own mom (and many relatives) did and keep the baby in the same room for the first year. IMHO, a baby shouldn't have to scream bloody murder to get your attention.
If you are on the fence about it, I'd wait until the baby is at least sleeping through the night. I would love to be able to cosleep, but as I have chronic insomnia, it's not safe.
