What punishment have you gotten as a kid that made you never do that wrong act again?

Spare the rod, spoil the child.

I got my *** beat up till I was 14, fought back, ended up being arrested, but now all is well. In fact my pops and I get along better than ever.

I broke a window playing tennis against the house on the driveway when I was 10. I got one hell of an azz whooping so I never played tennis again.

I stole something from a store and mother made me take it and give it back to the owner. I was so humiliated that I never took anything else that didn't belong to me.

I got my kitchen counter top on fire by honking a 4th of July toy in front of a lit candle. I was shocked an embarrassed because my friend saw everything. My mom screamed at me and told me to go to my room.

Personally, I've always needed logic. I still do. I remember my dad beating my *** when I didn't share my crayons with my brother. It didn't make sense to me then and it doesn't now. Where as my mom would always sit down and explain to me why we need the rules we all live by. It was a lot easier to understand "I share with him because I would want him to do the same if he had his own crayons" then a belt to my butt.

I ran away from home (went to a friend's house), and mom and dad packed a suitcase for me, brought it to me, and told me to have a nice life and be careful out there. I apologized, and I never did it again, LOL.

me and my sister went on a trip with my grandparents and kept fighting in the backseat. my grandpa said "that's enough, if i hear one more peep out of the backseat i'm pulling this car over". me being the smartass that i am, said "peep". he pulled the car over, pulled me out and spanked me right there on the side of the road in the rain. i never talked back to my grandpa again!

my parents never persuaded me to stop doing anything nor did they have to cuz after i did it i realized it was stupid and didnt do it again. it helps if the kids raised properly
