I just bought a 40 gallon fish tank .?

How many oscar size fishes would you recommend ?

    1, and only to grow up in.

    it should have over 55 gallons when older.

    One if any, a 40 gallon tank seems to be big but for an oscar, it will get small in about 6 to 9 months of age.You are better off choosing another kind of fish. good luck.

    1...i have 2 in a 55 gallon, and soon have to get a bigger tank
