Is my honda goldwing heating up too fast and too soon?

I recently got my first Honda Goldwing and I am very excited about it, although it is an oldie... 83 to be exact! The thing is after only 15 minutes it shows it is completely heated, and when I shut the engine it smokes big time through the pipes... Is this normal? How does yours behave?

not normal woreout most likely needs to be rebuilt and goldwing forums wil get you with other owners
