Were you a fan of imeem?

I love imeem!

Today I clicked on my favorite imeem bookmarks and... everything is gone... imeem is acquired by MySpace Music. I miss their great interface, huge library and high quality music!

None of my favorite tracks can be found on MySpace... all I can find are embedded Youtube videos. They said that they will transfer all the previous playlists to MySpace in a few weeks. They should have made a seamless transfer BEFORE they shutdown imeem's site. They just don't care about imeem users... how inconsiderate!

Now I need to find a good music website. Any suggestions?

Update:

Thanks winterswift! GrooveShark is great! Other than the lack of the social functions, it's a perfect alternative to imeem :)

Update 2:

Um... unfortunately GrooveShark doesn't have many of my favorites on imeem

I was a fan of imeem before the empire of MySpace overtook it. Now I use Grooveshark (http://www.grooveshark.com/ ), which doesn't allow for the social networking aspect, but it's great if you're looking for music. It's free to listen, not to download though, but I don't use an MP3 player or iPod much, so I don't usually see the need to download.

Blog spots are hot for music downloads especially high quality store brought album/cds so considerate a blessing in disguise. If your not practically computer savvy and don't have alot of spare time then stick to sites like Limewire & Bearshare which offer a quick alternative way of downloading Mp3s if you have some time to spare then id recommend signing up to a community site like warez.bb Gd luck

Source(s): using web based sites has its security risk's no more then peer to peer sites like Limewire but a little common sense & a descent anti-virus should keep you out the sh*t
