Saw a word punter question - who is worst kicker though?

The Packer's Crosby has to be up there. I can't believe that after missing in 6 straight games, from under 45 in 4 straight games, McCarthy still shows confidence in him. Must not be as smart as the coaches in Dallas and New Orleans who got rid of their useless kickers.

Update:

Hey the pope - I just did a quick stats comparison - I guess Nick did do worse than Mason.

What happened to the days when kickers were a dime a dozen, and you could almost always find a decent one sitting around somewhere it your kicker started stinking it up?

Update 2:

Sorry Carmen, but Lawrence Tynes isn't in the same league of badness as Crosby and Folk.

Update 3:

Jaws67 - if he is injured enough he can't make a kick, maybe try IR and then "rent" someone that can be at least a little more reliable.

Not sure I can truly say he cost the Packers the Steelers game. But they are on the bubble for the playoffs, and would hate to see that bubble burst by a missed FG.

Update 4:

I know he isn't playing any more, but what about the guy the Bills had when they lost the Super Bowl (and yes, I know they lost 4 - but seems they lost one on a missed FG?)

I know everyone can miss one once in a while - look at Anderson several years ago, went the whole season without missing one, then in the NFC Championship game missed the one that would have sent the Vikings to the Super Bowl. That must have been hard for him to take, and to live down!

SIDE NOTE: No Vikings in the Super Bowl this year, either.

There is something about Crosby they aren't telling us. I think he has an injury or something.

His kickoff are only getting to the 15 or 10 yard line too.

They should let the punter do the kick off and sit Crosby for the PAT's and field goals.

That being said, I would not call him the worst right now. Other teams have let kickers go already.

nick folk he is getting paid almost a million to miss like 10 field goals including a few from 20 yards

"Automatic" Al Del Grecco is probably the worse kicker i've seen! He missed tons of game winners and even missed a little field goal in the superbowl for the Titans when it counts most!
