How do I connect my laptop to my TV via a VGA to RCA component cable?
I have a windows vista laptop w/out an HDMI port so I decided to buy a vga to component cable from Amazon. when i made all the connections i needed from my laptop to my sony bravia HDTV my tv said no signal please check the connections and everything was fine. I tried pressing the fn and f4 keys but that didn't help at all. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!! ):-( I'm frustrated.

Go to www.svideo.com at this site they show all cables / connectors and configurations as well as an online instructional video,

Unfortunately, cable won't actually work for TV's. The VGA components are Red, Blue & Green (assuming you have a 3 connector component cable); whereas, the TV component inputs are Luminance and 2 color difference signals (Blue and Red).
