What is a last minute alternative to parchment paper?

Wax paper melts... Would tin foil work? Last minute tool for kitchen... stores are closing. :( Any ideas?

Update:

And yes I have a silicon mat. But again with the inverting??

Update 2:

I'm making Bon Appetit's Peppermint Meringue Cake with Chocolate Buttercream. I've made it before, but I had parchment paper then. I need the parchment paper for the meringue and cake layers of it.

Update 3:

I would use spray, but I'm going to have to invert it easily. Should I use tin-foil sprayed with cooking spray?

You just need some sort of fat on your pan. So i would spray it with non stick spray or apply butter to the entire surface. I hope I helped and happy cooking!!!

Foil tends to stick to food. I'd use a very light coating of cooking spray. I use Canola Oil Spray.

tin foil works depending what you are putting on it... candy tends to stick

only other option is nonstick trays or silicon mats, both you likley don't have.
