Need help hooking up my Laptop to a Monitor.?
If Anyone can Please help...I have a HP pavilion DV-7 laptop. It has Windows 7.
I'm trying to hook it up to a 23" Acer monitor without a docking station.
I have the HDMI cable and it is compatible with both the laptop and monitor, I have a extra keyboard and mouse that I just picked up.

After you connect the laptop to the monitor, there will be a switch to make the display show on the monitor. It will either be a softswitch on the keyboard (FN+F4 or something) or within your display settings in Windows7 control.
