Yes. They are legal in 35 states if registered with the BATF. You must have a criminal background check, provide prints, and pay the fee. If approved, you may purchase from a class lll dealer of NFA weapons.

no preban suppressors
no grandfathering suppressors
no threaded pistols (preban or otherwise)
no rifle surpessors,
most NFA items banned. (except AOW guns)
very restrictive gun laws and heavy gun control.
however, with 35 million residents and 3 million gun owners, there's b=plenty of ways around the rifle bans. but not pistols unfortunately.
