Can a true Christian be racist or racially biased?

Most if not all members of groups such as the Ku Klux Klan and White Citizen's Council throughout the United States all claimed to be Christian. What type of Christianity were they practicing?

Update:

Old Spice: Did the Black Panthers claim to be Christians? What Extremists groups claimed to be Christians while practicing racism?

Get the correct definition of racism and then see if you can in all honestly throw that label on me?

Update 2:

correction: in all honesty

My English is not great as your but I will do my best.

Long time ago; I was told that Ku Klux Klan is trying to protect their rights, so that they can put it in Religion in it then Governments can't do anything because as long it is called Religion then Governments can't stop them.

It is stupid America's Laws but I rather Jehovah's Laws.

They use the cross the KKK and say they are doing everything in the name of God/Jesus. Most of them believe it or not are Southern Baptist, and believe in the Trinity. There maybe some stragglers but, if you do research and watch the A&E on the KKK you'll see. It's sad but, this goes on everyday. Everyone is prejudice against something. Some have to work on it more than others, but it can be overcame. Either against people or the Government, something. I know I had a struggle and keep struggling with my feelings. I will over come them, and have done very well so far.

Most of those that are racist think black people aren't human, they have a twisted mind, they would be surprised to find out that Job most likely was black. The shulamite maiden, & the Queen of Sheba were black. Adam came from Ur, that's in Iran. These racist don't realize that in their jean's they come from a multitude of different races. I'm German,Diane,Cherokee, Scotch, Irish, & Dutch. I spoke to one that was with the Arion group, he hated every race that was not white, when he was informed that his uncle who he dearly loved had Mexican, filipino,, & native Indian, which meant his mother was of the same background, & so was he, well needless to say he is no longer associated with them.

Racist are ignorant as to their background.

AND ANYONE WHO IS RACIST IS "NOT A CHRISTIAN", like most that are in Christendom they fit the bill of 2 Tim 3:1-5 & 2 Tim 4:3,4.

No. Not if the person is a true Christian, any other excuse is just that, an excuse.

The Bible says *hold on, I have to get my notes*

"And he (meaning God) made out of one man (meaning Adam) every nation of men, to dwell upon the entire surface of the earth, and he decreed the appointed times and the set limits of the dwelling of men" ~ Acts 17:26~

"And Noah’s sons who came out of the ark were Shem and Ham and Ja′pheth. Later Ham was the father of Ca′naan. 19 These three were Noah’s sons, and from these was all the earth’s population spread abroad." ~ Genesis 9:18 and 19~

After God destroyed the ungodly world by means of a global flood in Noah’s day, the earth’s new population, including all the races known today, developed from the offspring of Noah’s three sons and their wives and that's shown by Genesis 9:18 and 19 (above).

"At this Peter opened his mouth and said: “For a certainty I perceive that God is not partial, 35 but in every nation the man that fears him and works righteousness is acceptable to him." ~ Acts 10:34 and 35~

"The children of God and the children of the Devil are evident by this fact: Everyone who does not carry on righteousness DOES NOT originate with God, neither does he WHO DOES NOT love his brother." ~ 1 John 3:10 ~

I totally LOVE the scripture of 1 john 3:10 because it shows that God does not view ALL HUMANS as his children. From a spiritual standpoint, those who deliberately PRACTICE what God condemns have THE DEVIL as their father.

So, it all boils down to this, God obviously likes variety in his creations and this includes mankind. Being that all people come from Adam & Eve, there is only ONE race and that's the human race.

1 John 3:10 shows exactly who the god and father of such organizations of the Ku Klux Klan and White Citizen's Council REALLY is... the Devil, not God Almighty.

I imagine that this could probably be said about some who are even Jehovah's Witnesses. It's really easy to tell if you're a "racist" or "racially biased". All you have to do is be honest and ask yourself, if a close member of your family (a son, daughter or something) were to date and marry a person outside of your skin color (Caucasian, Black, Spanish, Asian, Native American... etc), how would YOU feel?

If it's anything other than, "I could care less", YOU have a problem.

The ONLY thing that I am biased about is what God a person worships. If I were married (I couldn't care less about the man's skin color) and had a child, it would break my heart if my child married someone who did not know or love Jehovah.

I can't even imagine me being with a man who didn't love Jehovah and was one of his dedicated and baptized witnesses. Ewww, the thought of me now being with a man who was not one of Jehovah's Witnesses is almost repulsive to me.

God doesn't care about a person's skin color and neither would a true Christian. I know I don't care.

This previous presidential election has shown many christians basically how prejudiced, biased and racist a christian could properly be. I even have heard many christians use words like appalled to describe the emotions of the persons who until eventually the election they theory have been christians.

The Southern Baptist are not all Ku Klux Klan but the organization is made up from Southern Baptist. Not to mention this but the Southern Baptist also hate Catholics and some denominations of Protestants.

Most that are racist, even to the violent point about it, claim a religion.

But God is not partial and the truth that leads to everlasting life is available to all humans on earth regardless of race.

True christians cannot be racist because if anything, it can affect his service to God.

    NO - absolutely not.

    Using apples and oranges -

We can have a personal preference but since both are beneficial and both created by Jehovah for our consumption, how could we walk around and say to others - "Don't eat an orange, it doesn't deserve its place in human consumption" - particularly due to OUR preference?

Racist or biased goes WAY beyond personal preference.

To be either is saying that a person is not worthy of the same treatment from God as you are getting, that they do not deserve the same treatment concerning forgiveness or opportunity for future life from God.

I think to myself - How dare that I, one puny creation, place such a restriction upon another.

    I am not their judge.

As Jesus said, how we judge or feel about others is how we will be judged or felt about by God himself.

Everyone has a sin nature, so as a Christian we need to walk in the spirit, and not in the flesh. Jesus never taught His disciples to be racist, so any Christian that is racist is not obeying the Word of God, and probably isn't a true believer anyway.

NO, absolutely not. Jehovah God sent his Son Jesus Christ to die for ALL people, he didn't specify which groups of people or of having favorites.

ANYone who exercises faith in Jesus will be saved-

    John 3:16 (Amplified Bible)

16"For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten ([a]unique) Son, so that *whoever* believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life."

    AND

    Acts 10:35 (Contemporary English Version)

35"God is pleased with everyone who worships him and does right, no matter what nation they come from. "

WHOOT! I'm excited to say I remembered that last scripture from memory right off the bat!(of course after years of reading it..but you know how you know a scripture then have to search a bit or forget which verse or chapter, well this one was right the first time. yay!)

Also, God doesn't desire any to be destroyed but wants all to repent and live forever,-

    2 Peter 3:9 (New International Reader's Version)

9 The Lord is not slow to keep his promise. He is not slow in the way some people understand it. He is patient with you. He doesn't want anyone to be destroyed. Instead, he wants all people to turn away from their sins. (I was off by a book this time, thought 1 Peter first hehe..)

To those who could possibly think that a true follower of Christ could still call themselves so and yet be racist or racially biased would be deceiving themselves-

    Jeremiah 17:9 (Amplified Bible)

9The heart is deceitful above all things, and it is exceedingly perverse and corrupt and severely, mortally sick! Who can know it [perceive, understand, be acquainted with his own heart and mind]?(A) (Cool translation!)
