Flight Suit or Harness?
Which one should I get for my little budgies and which is cheaper(or what is the average price difference)? And what size should get for them? I have heard that harnesses are better because they don't feel entrapped but I am not sure. I could really use some help thanks.
I have found a flight suit that is petite (the smallest size) but are for parrotlets and small love birds (here http://www.opentip.com/Home-Garden/Flight-Suit-Pet... and here http://www.petco.com/product/10832/Avian-Fashions-... I was wondering if that would fit them. I also found a petite harness (here http://www.opentip.com/Home-Garden/Feather-Tether-... My budgies are quite tame and love me. They come outside all the time but I want to take them outside too to get some fresh air. I was wondering if I should harness train them first then got to the flight suit or what? Plz and thank you!

None of the harnesses are made small enough for a budgie---the minimum weight requirement is 75 grams. Which is a shame because the aviator is a wonderful harness--and you are correct that it seems easier to get a bird to accept a harness because they don't feel entrapped by it compared to a flight suit---but this isn't an option for you as you have such small birds.
I've never tried a flight suit but if you wanted to take your birds out it would be your only option--I believe that your budgies would wear either a petit or x-small (depending on if they are standard or the english budgies).
For all those who say that harnesses/flight suits are a waste of time and money that's unfortunate you believe that. Most birds can be trained to accept one--and the enrichment of being able to be out and about is a wonderful benefit for parrots. Both my birds wear their Aviators and both were adults well past the baby stage when they were introduced to them. It's just a matter of patience and commitment.

None of my birds ever realy liked the harness, I could only get one of them used to it, but the smallest size we could get was no smaller than a Cockatiel, so you might have problems there, I don't know about flight suits, I've never heard of them.
Sorry I couldn't be more help, but I thought you might like my input.
@Get Going - who says they will never take their birds outside, and who says they are not tame? Not your decision to make, bud.

Why do you want a harness for your bird ,they are a complete waste of time and money ,the harness will more than likely be heavier than your bird .if you are luckier enough to get a one that size.
