I don't know what's going on with my car? PLZ HELP?

Hello everyone, I have a 2000 Mitsubishi Galant, it's automatic.I'm wondering if I need to get my tires balanced or something because while driving my car tends to go to the left side and also when I stop the car at a stop sign or a red light it starts vibrating but as soon as I take my foot off the brake pedal or put the car on neutral the vibration goes away, what could this be?

I got a lil freaked out tonight so I opened my hood and checked the fluids, I noticed the oil cap kinda smell like burnt, not too much but it did, is that normal?

Check your drive shaft if it is a normal mounted engine if it is unbalanced it can cause similar tendency's, if it is a side mounted engine, then it is most likely the rotors or th brake pads, as for the pulling that can be commonly caused by low tire pressure

Check your tire pressure. If that's ok...

Check your tires. Do they need replacing? if not..

Get an alignment. that will stop your car's tendency to go to the left.

You need to replace your front brake pads and probably rotors to eliminate the brake vibration.

Your oil doesn't have anything to do with any of it, but check your sticker and change it if you're due.

If your tires are good, you're looking at around $80-$120 for the alignment, and $350 or so for front brake pads and rotors. This is assuming you'll be paying someone to do it for you.

Sounds like you have more then one problem, the pulling to the left is an alignment problem, the vibration is a busted or worn engine or tranny mount.
