Is it unhealthy to eat two meals a day?

Im not physically active and I eat a lot of snacks. Not chips and candy though. Im not over weight or under weight, but I've always eaten this way since I finished school. I wake up late so I don't eat breakfast.

Whatever you are doing must be working for you if you are fit. The important thing is to honor your body and eat when you are physically hungry for food, feeding it nutritious healthy calories. And to occasionally indulge in a goody because you want to enjoy it. It is part of treating yourself well, to both celebrate and practice restraint, each in their time.

Anyway...back to meals vs snacks, really it is better to eat tiny amounts of food all day than to eat more less often. Even meals should be small, like 400-500 calories and 100-200 calorie snacks. This fosters a very good trust relationship between you and your body, where the body asks for food, you feed it, and it is a good understanding to have. Then your body will trust you and has no reason to hang onto anything it isn't using, such as extra fat, and you will stay at an ideal weight.

You should get some easy grab and go healthy food for breakfast that you can eat while you are on the way to work or class or whatever. You can make granola bars, or boiled eggs, or a PB sandwich or maybe just fruit...trail mix, or whatever. It sets the tone for your metabolism all day, and helps get you to lunch. If you haven't eaten since before bed the night before, until midday 18 hours later...wow. That is a long time to go without food.

Also...just for better sleep and better fat burning and digestion...don't eat anything really heavy before bed, a light snack is cool. Your food intake should be mostly balanced through the day but your heavier food, your bigger meals, treats and sweets and fatty foods should be earlier rather than later in the day.

Here is another tidbit. Everything you eat is really either a fat, a protein or a carb. Carbs all break down to sugar and include grains, fruits, and veggies, and also plain old sugary. When you eat these foods pair them with a protein...milk, cheese, beans, yogurt, or meat, etc because then the sugars will release slower and more evenly, preventing sugar rushes and crashes.

Although you are not overweight or underweight, you may still not be in shape, so 2 meals a day would be considered about average depending on what you are eating. For instance, if you eat fried food, it might be considered unhealthy if you don't exercise, but if you have a job (I'm assuming you do, since you don't eat breakfast), that should be enough exercise. In conclusion, I would consider it healthy if you move every once in a while.

Nope because I have been doing that for years but I do eat snacks because my family doesn't eat like average American families which eat 3 meals a day. Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner the american way, my family eats lunch and dinner. Breakfast is your choice but its the most important meal of the day though because its good for your body.

I'm the same way. And if i do end up eating three i eat very small amounts. It's perfectly healthy, as long as you're eating the right foods.

even although you're no longer obese or underweight, you will desire to nonetheless no longer be in shape, so 2 nutrition an afternoon could be seen approximately familiar counting on what you're ingesting. case in point, in case you eat fried foodstuff, it would be seen undesirable in case you do no longer workout, yet once you have a job (i'm assuming you do, on account which you do no longer eat breakfast), that would desire to be sufficient workout. In end, i might evaluate it wholesome in case you progression each and every each and every so often.

You mean as opposed to eating just one? or as opposed to eating three?

If as opposed to eating just one, then no, it is healthier to eat 2.

If as opposed to eating three, well, that depends...if the 2 meals you eat are good quality and good quantity, you don't need the third one...

Some children in Africa wouldn't worry too much about eating 2 or 3... as long as they could just have at least one a day...

Consider yourself luck if you only get 2 a day...
