question about iTunes syncing?

so i got an iPod. yay!

so here's what i'm wondering:

if you delete songs from your computer and then go to sync your iPod, will it delete those songs from your iPod?

it said something like that but i wasn't sure what it meant... thanks in advance

Update:

so if i put it to "manually manage" will it still do that?

i think i put "manually manage" but i'm not sure. is there someway i can go check/change it?

Update 2:

OK I found the "manage it manually" and it's checked...

so now will it delete songs that i no longer have on my computer?

that is what it does. If you dont want it to do this change your settings for the ipod so it doesnt auto sync.

I got an Ipod for Christmas too! Mines orange lol but anyways no I dont think so. Once you plug in your Ipod this menu in iTunes should show up. Near the bottom left hand corner it should say since tih 4 little boxes with checkmarks in them. Put a check mark in the box that says "only sync songs that have checkmarks" then you go to your playlists and uncheck the ones you DO NOT want in your ipod. Next go to "file" and click "sync (so and so's ipod) and Voila, your computer will then put ONLY THE CHECKED songs into your ipod. sounds confusing I know, but hey Im only 14. Goodluck with your ipod and Merry Christmas!!!

The way I read it, that's exactly what it means.
