Can someone help me with my computer?
Experienced users only, please.
I THINK I might have a virus, and I dont want to have to pay a technician to tell me i have to delete everything, and microsoft's hungover phone support guy sent me into a loop of talking to 10 or 11 different people, all of which told me "I cannot help you with this problem, let me transfer your call to someone who can." So, im asking you guys. Heres whats happening:
IN SHORT:
Windows tells me my copy of windows 7 is pirated. This cant be, I got it OEM from newegg. I tried activating it (again), error message. I tried system restore, error message. I tried reinstalling windows, error message. I tried calling microsoft support, they told me my key is valid, i registered it, and i activated it, but theres nothing they can do to help. So im asking yahoo answers hoping a competent person wants to help me fix my computer.
IN DETAIL:
About a week ago, my computer tells me my copy of windows 7 may be pirated. So I right click on Computer, go to Properties, and scroll to the bottom. it says:
Windows Activation------------------------------…
Status Not Available
Product ID: Not Available
hmm..
I know I activated it, thats the first thing I did when I got it in late October.
I seach the computer for "windows activation", and click on "Activate Windows"
"An error has occured
Code:
0x80070003
Description:
The system cannot find the path specified."
wtf??
Okay, lets try a system restore.
"System Restore does not appear to be functioning correctly on this system.
A Volume Shadow Copy Service component encountered an unexpected error. Check the Application event log for more information. (0x80042302)"
WTF???
I insert the original Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit disk (OEM from newegg, so it cant be pirated) into the drive and try to reinstall.
"Windows could not retrieve information about the disks on this computer"
this is effed up
So I call India (Microsoft Support). An hour and 20 minutes later, I'm told that the key IS valid, I DID register, I DID activate windows, and theres nothing they can (care enough about to) do.

In this instance, the pirate seems to be MyCrudSoft.
Call them again, and instead of letting each one pass the buck, demand to speak to their supervisor, and tell him that if MyCrudSoft doesn't make this right, you will report them to the Better Business Bureau. Repeat the demand to speak to the supervisor, to each supervisor who "can't" make it right. They may lie about it, but each one does have a supervisor somewhere.
If they won't make it right, go to BBB.org and file a complaint.
It may take a couple months, but it's faster than going to court, and it won't cost you court fees and an attorney.

Any OEM version of an OS can be installed usually 3 times or more on different computers. the best thing to do would be to reinstall windows seven and delete the old partition completely as it may have installed incorrectly. After the install is finished attempt to activate windows again with your key. I've never seen a virus that kept windows from activating. Unless you were downloading things from strange websites like the Limewire service or xxx sites you really should have gotten infected anyway.
Source(s): I had an issue with my computer not activation correctly because the install was corrupt. After reinstalling windows it was fine. - kool43bzLv 51 decade ago
try if you can booting into safe mode and running your antivirus program turn your settings to its highest point when done return them to normal after that get malwarebytes update it first then run a full scan delete what it finds then restart also get ccleaner run it on a regular basics.

On a Mac, shift/administration/3 takes a image of the demonstrate. in case you press shift/administration/4, you could click and drag over the area you desire; the image is taken once you launch the mouse button.
