I THINK I might have a virus, and I dont want to have to pay a technician to tell me i have to delete everything, and microsoft's hungover phone support guy sent me into a loop of talking to 10 or 11 different people, all of which told me "I cannot help you with this problem, let me transfer your call to someone who can." So, im asking you guys. Heres whats happening:

IN SHORT:

Windows tells me my copy of windows 7 is pirated. This cant be, I got it OEM from newegg. I tried activating it (again), error message. I tried system restore, error message. I tried reinstalling windows, error message. I tried calling microsoft support, they told me my key is valid, i registered it, and i activated it, but theres nothing they can do to help. So im asking yahoo answers hoping a competent person wants to help me fix my computer.

IN DETAIL:

About a week ago, my computer tells me my copy of windows 7 may be pirated. So I right click on Computer, go to Properties, and scroll to the bottom. it says:

hmm..

I know I activated it, thats the first thing I did when I got it in late October.

I seach the computer for "windows activation", and click on "Activate Windows"

Okay, lets try a system restore.

I insert the original Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit disk (OEM from newegg, so it cant be pirated) into the drive and try to reinstall.

So I call India (Microsoft Support). An hour and 20 minutes later, I'm told that the key IS valid, I DID register, I DID activate windows, and theres nothing they can (care enough about to) do.

I'm trying to install patch 1.5 for Call of Duty World at War for PC, and all the patches worked, except for the 1.5 patch. I asked activision support, and they said it was a problem with my router, and i could fix it with port forwarding. I downloaded this program called simple port forwarding, but it didnt work.

can someone tell me how to make my computer use these ports manually?

I just installed Linux Ubuntu 64-bit 9.04 on my system, but since I have Windows XP Professional 64-bit already installed (I wanted to dual-boot) the hard disk is formatted to NTFS and won't let me use more than a few megabytes for Linux. I have over 550GB free space. I tried a disk partition program, but it wouldn't let me expand the space Linux can use, but it let me shrink the space WinXP uses.

Does anybody know a way around this?

I won't replace WinXP with Linux, I just want to dual-boot.

Also I tried Ctrl+Alt+F2 and typing sudo apt-get and that didnt help

My pedals are broken in half because theyre made of plastic.

I used a long pair of gripping pliers, and a narrow but long wrench to try and remove them, but nothing can take them off.

is there any tricks to doing this?

I'm 15, i drink A LOT of energy drinks, and im addicted to caffeine. in 2008 I had over 16 gallons of Monster energy drinks. i tried to quit, and didn't have any caffeine for 2 weeks. I had withdrawals, and they were really bad.

I was ALWAYS tired no matter what time it was, but i couldn't sleep at night despite the fact that i was tired, i had random, severe depression for no reason whatsoever, headaches that hurt more than anything I could have ever imagined (even 3 ibuprofen didn't help at all), I was randomly nauseous (2-3 times a day every day), I couldn't focus on even the simplest tasks, and even if i could focus on something, i had no motivation to do it.

how can i quit caffeine without feeling withdrawal symptoms? How long will it take?

I know this is really bad, because my doctor told me it's the worst caffeine addiction he has seen it his 45 years of being a doctor, and the other yahoo answers questions only described headaches.

I'm 15 years old. I drink A LOT of Monster energy drinks. I keep the little tabs from the top of the can whenever i have one and put it in this box in my room (one box for each year). i recently counted them all up from 2008, and here's what i drank from 1-1-08 to 12-31-08:

68 regular cans (16 fl oz)

28 XXL cans (24 fl oz)

9 BFC cans (32 fl oz)

1 Hitman shot (3 fl oz)

thats a little over 16 gallons.

I want to quit, because i know it's horrible for me, and it's SUCH a waste of money, but i tried, and i had the WORST withdrawal symptoms in the world. I didn't have even a sip of Monster, or any caffeine (not even headache pills with caffeine) for two weeks (ending today, I had a BFC today), and those were the hardest weeks of my life.

Here are some of the symptoms I had:

I built a computer with an EVGA Nvidia 790i Ultra running Windows XP Pro 64-bit. i can not for the life of me find safe mode. can somebody help me out please?

my computer cant read certain symbols, so it replaces them with a rectangle with 4 numbers/letters in a square sape.

its annoying and i want to be able to see these symbols instead of those number box things but i dont know what to download to fix it

How long would it take (if i get to building it right away and update all the drivers, all that stuff) to get from doorstep to games?

for example, i bought a Nvidia GeForce 8800GS and its good, but not great. if i were to but a 9800GTX or 9800GX2 would i be able to run them in SLI together?

if not, should i buy another 8800GS or just buy a 9800GTX or 9800GX2?

the 1st 2 pictures (if my link works) are just half-dollars. just thought that maybe they were worth something more than 50 cents (but most likely not). if any of them are worth more than 50 cents i would think that the 1776/1976 one would be worth something but i have no idea.

the last 2 pictures are 1 troy ounce .999 fine silver coins. idk if its rare, but i cant find anything that looks the same as the ones i have so this is my best bet if any of these are worth anything.

and i might have a copper 1943 penny in one of my jars of pennies. i now i have some of the silvery ones, so i might have a copper one somewhere.

so my big question is how much would these be worth?

We had a tech guy come in because my dads computer sucks, and he has major bottlenecks.. but thats beside the point, the tech guy said that there was speculation that vista is going to be discontinued. any truth?
