The only place you will find anything about jesus is in religious texts. Neither the Romans nor the Greeks mention anything about this jesus. And they were known for their record keeping.

You know, there's no need to cram everything into the subject line.

You can't "truly prove" anything in the real world, because it's always possible to dream up some alternative explanation for something you see, no matter how strange or complicated that new explanation has to be. But rather than resorting to solipsism, we can instead consider DEGREES of certainty. This is what court cases mean by "beyond a reasonable doubt". We can gather enough evidence and reach an explanation about something, to the point where to NOT accept the explanation would be more ridiculous.

When it comes to historical figures, we'll want to consider things like multiple independent sources of evidence, works left behind from the figure itself, legal records, artifacts, consistency and credibility of sources, etc. In short, we have these things when it comes to people like Julius Caesar or Duke Ellington. We don't really have these things when it comes to people like Jesus or Pythagoras.

Any background e book may be useful already know that a guy Jesus Christ did in reality EXIST. that's an element of background. Many books examine with him as a prophet. The troublesome area is isn't any remember in case you have self belief that he's the son of God and made miracles. that may no longer a reality except you're a Christian. in case you're a Christian then you definately might use the bible to for non secular and non secular purposes. a real believer of Jesus Christ feels him in coronary heart and spirit. you will cry once you talk to him and you will experience him answer. it may sound loopy, although this is in simple terms something you will desire to have self belief in. every person that tells you that Jesus Christ did no longer exist desires to bypass lower back to college or study a background e book. that's a reality that he existed. no remember if or no longer you believed he made the blind see and the mute talk.

Nothing that we have discovered to date.

The same is true, of course, for most historical figures that predate photography - particularly people who did not author some known work themselves. How do you *prove* that any of the following people existed?

    Nathan Hale

Elizabeth Tudor (died at the age of 3)

    Herostratus

    Hannibal of Carthage

    The Scorpion King

All we have of any of these people are contemporary accounts - just like Jesus. Nothing (as far as I know - I may be wrong in a couple of instances) written in their own hand. Did *they* exist?

We have 4 separate eye witness accounts of Jesus. Are they less valid than the eye witness accounts upon which our knowledge of the above individuals is based?

besides Christians, there are Egyptians hierglyphics that tell of the King. And other scrolls that mention a Teacher of the Scripture. There's more than just the Bible that tells about Jesus. In ancient languages.

It takes faith to find Him as the Messiah that old scripture prophecied about. And it takes faith to believe that that scripture is the Word of God.

No, God doesn't work by proofs but by faith. He has given us these scriptures: Bible, Book of Mormon. Pearl of Great Price, which if read and prayed about for the truth in them is more than sufficient to convince one of Christ's existence.

    Yes. Josephus.

He was a historian at Jesus time. He says there was a man named Jesus, who was called the Christ and He was crucified. Josephus' works are available online.

Jesus Christ was born into this world, not from it. He did not emerge out of history; He came into history from the outside.

I would think several eyewitness accounts would count for something

how many personal eyewitness accounts are there to the birth, life, and death of Attila the Hun? Alexander the Great? Gehnghis Kahn?

yet we do not doubt their existence as real people

No, the myth of Jesus was created from the myths of three other deities to keep the people from rebelling.
