Is the Heritage Foundation's plan for fixing the economy a good one?
Replaces Obamacare with a simpler system that provides essential medical care outside most federal governmental control, with wider individual and doctor choices, and with competing medical service companies.
Puts Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security on a long term fiscally sound minimum federal government basis. Increases retirement age for proper actuarial equivalents, such that the young are not subsidizing the old.
Balances the federal budget within 10 years, requiring small sacrifices from most federal spending areas but nothing big in any year.
Reduces the national debt to 30 percent of GDP within 25 years
Cuts the size of the federal government by about half within 25 years.
Protects America and its interests around the globe by ensuring full funding for national defense.

he Essence of the Heritage Foundation’s Plan for fixing our income tax system:
Creates a new, simpler, tax system. Except for retaining a few deductions, it is close to a flat tax. Includes a feature to promote individual retirement savings. The role of the IRS is greatly reduced.
3 AnswersCivic Participation8 years agoAtheists, do you believe it is all right to lie, steal or murder?
Sanctions against such behavior come from the Bible in which you do not believe. This leads me to think that you may feel free to act without such restrictions.
18 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoWill we all be resurrected by judgment day?
Every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is the Christ, our Savior, but will all be in a resurrected state or still only a spirit at that time?
6 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoShould we pray to God, the Father or to Jesus Christ?
13 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoIs the fire & brimstone description of hell literal or metaphorical?
When we die our spirit survives us and we wait for our final judgment and resurrection. But a spirit cannot be affected by fire & brimstone which things are of this earth.
14 AnswersReligion & Spirituality10 years agoDo the mansions mentioned by Jesus in John 14:2 refer to the number or type of our future dwelling place?
The Savior was speaking to his apostles here but where will the rest of mankind be assigned at final judgment where the “dead are judged out of those things which are written” (Rev 20:12)? Since we all will be resurrected and be placed in a place befitting our faith and works, will the place outside of God’s kingdom known as Hell be a lesser quality mansion or some other designation?
1 AnswerReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoSince every knee must bow and every tongue confess to God, when will the Muslims do it?
Rom 14:11 and Isaiah 45:23 state that everyone must recognize Jesus as God. Perhaps after they die Muslims and all non-Christians will have a time before their final judgment to fulfill that prophecy.
14 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoAfter we die and are in the spirit world awaiting final judgment, what spiritual clothes and food will we eat?
A prophet has said that our mortal body with our sprit inside is like a hand in a glove. Which is most impotant, the hand or the glove? Naturally, the hand. So when we die we discard the glove but our spirit lives on. Then what will that spirit (which is also in the image of Father in Heaven) wear and eat?
12 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoIs it important that we try to find out all we can about what our life after death will be like?
It’s a false Christian tradition that the future life consists of only heaven and hell. Where would the justice of God be if the many souls in non-Christian nations died and were consigned to a horrible place without ever even having the chance to learn of Christ’s plan for all humankind?
Consider these words of Alma to his son: 11 Now, concerning the state of the soul between death and the resurrection—Behold, it has been made known unto me by an angel, that the spirits of all men, as soon as they are departed from this mortal body, yea, the spirits of all men, whether they be good or evil, are taken home to that God who gave them life.
12 And then shall it come to pass, that the spirits of those who are righteous are received into a state of happiness, which is called paradise, a state of rest, a state of peace, where they shall rest from all their troubles and from all care, and sorrow.
13 And then shall it come to pass, that the spirits of the wicked, yea, who are evil—for behold, they have no part nor portion of the Spirit of the Lord; for behold, they chose evil works rather than good; therefore the spirit of the devil did enter into them, and take possession of their house—and these shall be cast out into outer darkness; there shall be weeping, and wailing, and gnashing of teeth, and this because of their own iniquity, being led captive by the will of the devil.
4 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoIn the creation account of 6 days was each day a 24 hr period, a 1000 yrs or an indefinite period of time?
Most churches believe the 24 hr/day theory, some accept the 1000 yrs for each day and at least one church believes in the indefinite period of time for the day, which allows better reconciliation with science.
7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhy do we pray to our Father in Heaven instead of our Creator in Heaven?
Of course Jesus in Luke 11:2 said to pray that way but It begs the question of how is God our heavenly Father? We all have a mortal father but why do we call our creator also a father?
13 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoCan God be in more than one place at the same time?
Scientific logic says no, but people throw around the term omnipresent. Isn't it like the generator of electricity that sits in Rockford but sends electricity to Milwaukee and to Chicago? Of course our God has perfect 2 way communication with us, His children, But He cannot be in 2 places at the same time, can he?
19 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhat will our spirit be doing after we die while awaiting our final judgment and resurrection?
We know that we all will be resurrected and must face a final judgment, but will we be among those spirits in prison to whom Christ went and preached (1 Peter 3:19)? Does this imply that there will be some educating going on there?
17 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhen did the baby Jesus or boy Jesus come to know or remember his calling as the Savior of the World?
We all have forgotten our pre-mortal life as spirits awaiting to be born on earth. did Jesus also forget? If so He had to be instructed by angels or His Father as to his mission on earth, and of his previous work as co-creator of the earth.
