how do you change a fuel pump on a 1999 pontiac fire bird?

1. take the exhaust off 2. remove the fuel( use a siphon) 3. remove fuel pressure (unhook the electrical connections for the fuel pump under the back side of the car , start the car until it dies then try to start it for a few more seconds) 4. undo the quick connect fuel lines (squeeze the white tabs together and pull the lines apart be careful a little gas will come out) 5. undo the 2 hoses (the rubber ones) 6. put a jack under the tank 7.undo the 2 bolts the hold the tank straps on. 8 lower the tank and pull it out from under the car. 8. undo the snap ring that goes onto of the fuel pump. 9. pull the pump out. If you have no mechanical know how I would not try this. You could blow yourself up, get gas in your eyes or damage your car worse then before.

If youre asking this you probably should take it in..
not really a do it yourself job without knowing what your doing.
