What do the circles and moons mean on the list of people available for Facebook chat?
On Facebook, you can click the "chat" button, and a list of people pop up that you can talk to. What do the green circles mean, and the cresent moons? I know the moons do not mean that you are offline; I think they might mean that the people are inactie, but I am not sure. What do they really mean?
Thank you all for your answers, and one more question. Do you make yourself inactive yourself, or does it do it yourself?

The circles mean that those people are online, active, and as a result more likely to answer. The crescent moons mean that those people are logged on, but inactive or idle, so as a result less likely to answer your messages.

Green circle means they are online and more likely to repsond to your chat messages.
Crescent moon means they are offline or are idle, they haven't actively clicked on anything in their facebook profile (afk, away from keyboard) and less likely to repsond.

Green circle means that they are currently online and on facebook.
The half shaded circles means that they are logged onto facebook but have gone idle'd. Otherwise, meaning that they are away for a moment

It's like on MSN, the status of your friends, so the circle means they are online, and the half circles mean they are idle :)

circles mean online, half moons mean away at the moment.
