what is the difference between these two sentences?

1. I played golf FOR two hours.

2. I played gold IN two hours.

    2. got gold in just two hours..don't know what playing-stuff it's referring to XD

    The first sentence means the person gambled in golf for two hours and won gold which he lost in two hours after betting the same (second sentence)

    1. You did not complete the game, but rather stopped playing two hours from the time you started.

    2. You completed the game two hours from the time you started.
