I heard some guy, as quickly as, who took an exceedingly long shot with a .40 5-70. He concept he neglected the deer, because it in basic terms took off. Him and the the remainder of the hunters with him went to the place it became whilst he took the shot, and there have been the entrails of the deer! He had hit it interior the tummy and split it extensive open. they discovered the deer approximately 20 yards away in a stand of timber, already ineffective from blood loss.

Maybe it ate some orange berries. There are bushes in Texas that bear small edible orange berries. The skin is not always completely digested and this may be what you saw (assuming of course that these kinds of berries are also found in MA).
