Are they being hypocrites?

If an Atheist bases his/her worldview on reason or logic, are they going against their own ideals by participating in the "Religion & Spirituality' section of YA. The fact that they are here is goes against even the most basic logic. What do you think?

By the way, I'm not bashing Atheists, I'm sincerely curious.

Update:

Why would you want to discuss something you obviously don't believe in? Other than for entertainment purposes I can't see any reason why you all are here. Would you rather not spend your time in the sports section, politics, Bilology and yes, even cooking sections?

I answer this question probably once a day or more.

Religion affects my life - its proponents keep trying to turn their beliefs into law. In this section, I like to remind them that theirs is not the only belief system out there.

In addition, this section is ABOUT religion and spirituality, not FOR religious people. I am interested in religion and spirituality. I answer questions in here in much the same way that humans answer questions in the Cats section and regular people answer questions in the Celebrities section.

Lastly, it's really funny. I have actually howled with laughter at some of the stupid things people believe...and at some of the witty things people say.

The last time (in my previous incarnation) when I went to Gay and Lesbian Section and asked the same question to the Christians there on why they are there for fact they are anti-homosexual.

Well, their answer "Because we want to save as much people as possible". So, I guess we want to save as much people as possible from useless delusion.

    ------

If what you believe does not affect me, I don't really care, but then fan clubs of someone's beliefs tried to insert their belief into the law, education and others.

    No.

Where are we supposed to talk about religion? The Cooking section?

Edit: because the sports section is already full of professional athletes, the politics section is full of prime ministers and senators, the biology section is full of biologists and the cooking section is full of chefs, of course....

You should try to explain this to yourself explicitly and take a careful look at your premises and ask yourself if they might be incongruous with reality.

No. I think I answered this once, I'm just bored, and christians are easy to pick on.

    I'm not here for ideals.

    I'm here for the entertainment.

Hope this clears things up for you?
