Would it be a good idea to get a Netbook?
I recently got an iPod Touch. My laptop had trouble installing the driver for the device. I have had this problem in the past, as it was unable to connect with my printer. Since it is broken in this regard, would it make sense to get a netbook that could be a supplement to my laptop and I would be able to install iTunes on it, at which point I would actually be able to sync it with my new iPod.

You might want to consider keeping the laptop unless you really think you need a netbook too, otherwise you might be wasting money. My suggestion is to try fixing your laptop instead, especially if the bill doesn't run you up into the hundreds. It's worth keeping the larger hard drive, screen, and keyboard. And the CD drive, especially if you don't want to go through the hassle of connecting to the Internet or an external drive whenever you purchase a program.
But if you really want the high battery life, increased portability, low bulk and weight of a netbook... you can always mail me the old one ^_^
