Is there a wrestler you get VERY defensive about?

I have a friend, who will remain nameless but if you go to YWSE chat you'll know who lol, that will tear your head off if you say bad things about Edge. I'm like this with CM Punk and Matt Hardy.. but not as extreme. Is there someone you will defend until you turn blue in the face?

I am pretty sure I know for sure who you are talking about now. That nameless person also might bite your head off if you speak badly of Bret Hart and are speaking highly of Shawn Micheals at the same time, just telling you from experience. My head is almost back to normal though it took a crazy amount of stitches to fix up though :( lol.

I am very defencive about Triple H though. I have always been a fan of Triple H since his WCW days as Terra Ryzing ( How sad is it that I can still remember his WCW ring name. So many people seem to forget that he was even in WCW at all ). But Triple H has always been a favourite of mine for quite sometime as you can see. Triple H gets bashed a lot by fans. Fans have and probably always will say crap that Triple H is only anything because he is married to Stephanie McMahon and because he Shawn Micheals made him what he is etc. A lot of people rarely take into consideration that Shawn Micheals made Triple H a name, but Triple H made his own legacy. Marty Jennettey made Shawn Micheals a name but Shawn Micheals made himself a legacy. This is what happens in wrestling some guys become huge stars others don't. Triple H does have that "It" Factor. He is The Game and he is "The Damn Good" just like he says. Triple H is talented in the ring and can work the mic. He can do what very few people can accomplish. Triple H has made himself the most loved guy in the WWE and has made himself the most despised man in the WWE.

As for Triple H only becoming a huge name in the WWE because he is married to Stephanie McMahon which makes him Vince McMahon the chairman of the company's son-in-law I think that is a load of bull in my opinion. Triple H was a very established and well know wrestler before Stephanie McMahon was even anywhere near involved with Triple H. A very odd nameless person explained this best too me in my opinion. "If your boss is willing to put you in a storyline where you drug his only daughter ruin her wedding by marring her in Vegas after proclaiming how many time you consummated the marriage. Than it back fires on you and she turns out to like it and starts making out with him as you lay unconscious in the middle of the ring. That in some 'effed' up way mean that your boss does like you already". Yeah being Stephanie McMahon's husband does have a lot of perks to it but Vince McMahon liked Triple H long before his daughter ever took interest in the guy. Triple H was already very well established and liked by McMahon before he got married to the boss' daughter.

I am also pretty defencive about Ted DiBiase Jr. I still see potential in him. I know many people disagree with that but I think he is talented still. I don't think his mic skills are that bad either. I still see him going far in his career. I don't think it is fair to judge him when the WWE really hasn't given him a career changing push yet. The WWE does start rising conflicted between Orton and DiBiase but they don't seem to ever go too far with it. I don't think it is fair to label Ted DiBiase as hopeless right now. I still see potential in him. I think Rhodes is talented too but I just see Ted going further in his career then Cody. I am not sure why I think that but I have a feeling and I am still standing by that feeling. He isn't as bad as people make him to be. He isn't amazing but he is only at the start of his career, he hasn't learnt it all yet.

The wrestler I get defensive about is Chris Jericho. Chris Jericho is a world class athlete and veteran. Trained in the legendary Stu Hart submission dungeon. Five time world champion, First Undisputed Champion, and a record setting nine time Intercontinental Champion. Now just because he exposed the truth about the sea of gelatinus paracitical hypocrites of the WWE Universe he is the Joker of WWE. If Chris Jericho commited the devastating acts that DX did to Hornswoggle, the announcers and WWE Universe would look down and spit aspersions at at Chris Jericho. When Chris Jericho says a a man of his stature should be treated with the upmost respect he should be like John Cena and all those babyfaced idiots! Chris Jericho is the best in the world!

    Eddie Guerrero

Since his death i feel myself being one of the few people that understand why he's in the hall of fame and why he's talked about so highly by those that remember him. Many that didn't get to watch him every week just assume because he died everyone overrates him and therefore any wrestler that dies should be treated in the same light but there is a reason Eddie Guerrero is remembered, he was one of the best all round entertainers to grace a wrestling ring. Just on his wrestling Eddie could go with anyone, he could stick with Benoit in the ring and few could, and as an entertainer who else could make a love story with Chyna "must watch" TV? seriously I'm not exactly overly defensive but when in the legacy of Eddie Guerrero DVD everyone in the know talked about how great a worker Eddie was... who is anyone else to say the wrestlers are wrong about one of their piers? Chris Jericho said Eddie was as good as anyone in the world when he was on and he was on 90% of the time... now if Jericho says that about him, how can anyone doubt Eddie Guerrero? That's what i get defensive about... people who don't know try to argue with those that worked with him and do know when it comes to Eddie. Someone has to defend and educate those who didn't see him as often as i had the pleasure.

Yes indeed, and some of you have seen me defend him quite vigorously (I even wrote a rather lengthy blog on the subject).

Ric Flair. I'm probably the only person in this section who has watched Flair his entire career. I KNOW what he has meant (and still does) to the wrestling business and I'll counter every stupid "washed-up old man" comment with at least three reasons why he is arguably the greatest pro wrestler to ever get in a ring.
