What is the deal?!? I am 38 weeks and....?
my baby has not dropped...at all. I have not dilated at all, and she is in my ribs instead of birthing position. I went about 2 weeks ago to have a cerclage taken out, and my RN asked me where they normally find her heartbeat after searching for about 10 minutes. When I showed her (like 6 inches under by right breast), she found it right away. Then she said that babies that high are usually in the breach position. So I have been consciously been being aware of where I feel her move, and it is almost always above my navel. I am 5'11", so I have a long torso, but shouldn't be getting ready to make her arrival?
Thanks for the help!

Can you consult a Dr. or an OBGYN as I would not be comfortable like you mentioned. I'm sure she is quite healthy by now.
She does not have a lot of room to move anymore, an ultrasound would give you more information, but I would be asking questions at this point. The fact that your daughter is lying sideways may indicate that she has little time and a bit of room to move as you know. But my question would be more about a possible c-section.
Being in utero sideways is not a birthing position, your pregnancy has been long and difficult..You have been resting and getting ready for this special birth! This is a time for you to gather all the proper information from your Dr. hopefully an ultrasound can reveal all that you need to know and to prepare yourself/and to revise or prepare your birth plan accordingly. Do keep in mind that babies are unpredictable! they have a mind of their own. One of my twin boys was breech and sideways as baby A was greedy with his placenta and room !
I'm sure all will be well, do ask questions your birthing centre is there for you! I will pray for you and your family. Blessings

There is a good chance she will be breach if she hasnt turned by now, they can try turning her themselves but Ive heard this if really uncomfy(never had personal expierence). But she will be fine breech or not! Good Luck!
